Topic: Cartoon-ish Tests: "Baseball Pitch" posted!

This is a series of tests that I'll be doing, trying to accomplish a more cartoony/lively feel to my films. All of the tests are at 15 fps. I'll post more when I've got some new ones.

A bit of light flicker, but that was awesome Graeme.  You've tapped in really well to that physical comedy feel people have been discussing lately.  Great job, and I hope to see more like that.

Thanks for the feedback. ManVan, I won't be focusing on any technical aspects besides animation, so there will probably be light flicker in the future tests.

I figured as much, I just thought it was worth mentioning.  Too bad Vimeo's download link is for an AVI, because VLC won't let me play it slower for a frame-by-frame look.  If you could get a MOV file that would be great, because I hope it doesn't feel like I am trying to rip you off, or just do what everybody else is talking about (Legoshark, etc.), but I have had in mind a movie that would use the same type of movement.

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out how to get frame-by-frame in Quicktime.

I liked your second test very much Littlebrick, but what I thought they look around could have been a bit slower, while the revving-up part could have been a bit longer.  In any case, great test, and I look forward to the rest.

Not sure about the leg and arm movement when he's looking around but I loved the revving up. More tests pls.

There was a bit of a jerk when he was looking around (to the left in particular), but otherwise, the running and "revving up" were well done.

Nice job, this is exactly what Kazoo has been looking like mini/wink You nailed the jump on Celebration but the arm and leg turn seemed a little too exaggerated on Look around and run. Other than that, fantastic. Great job Littlebrick!

I think you could actually have him "rev" up longer, actually. But very good.
