Topic: Game of Brickfilmers (maybe for Brickcon) Project
Hey folks. I've been wanting to do a Da Vinci invention/Rube Goldberg machine/transforming tabletop sequence in the style of the Game of Thrones title sequence for a while. One weekend I decided to start building and the result was this.
As I was editing, I thought: Wouldn't it be great to include other people's studio/logo and make this project into a brickfilmer's parody of the Game of Thrones title sequence.
So who wants to join in on the Game of Brickfilmers? There's a chance that this project will be included in SlothPaladin's endeavors to bring brickfilms to Brickcon 2014 so this may also be an opportunity to represent yourself via a transforming Game of Thrones-style logo. If nothing else, you get to have me transform your logo, Game of Thrones style.
What I need:
Your studio logo (studio name optional)
A theme or layout design for your transforming logo. Mine, for example, is a motherboard, with microchips, transistors and a CPU. Jampot's will be a red Classic Space missile silo. Other ideas include: carnival, jungle, castle, a minifig monument, monolith, Hollywood, steampunk, etc. If you have a design in mind, submit them.
An idea of what environment/terrain your transforming mini-city/logo sits on. Mine is on a beach front (subject to change), Jampot in a snowy region. Locations can include base of a mountain, the desert, top of a mesa, hills, etc. My video took 5 days to render, the Bird's Eye view took the longest because of the terrain, so the simpler the terrain the better.
Your permission to make your logo into a transforming mini-city, to upload it to my channel as well as yours and to include it in a montage for Brickcon.
Feel free to post your designs here or help make suggestions to potential participants on how they want their logo to transform. Note that I'm working with CG bricks and not all bricks have been made into 3D and I'm not that creative with reproducing complex bricks like a Chima minifig head. Also, if you have a transformation sequence in mind, please storyboard it or pre-viz it for me so I have a visual idea of what you want done. You can tag your designs on social media using #GameOfBrickfilmers but it may not always make it findable for me.
I'll also need a composer.

In terms of Brickcon, it'd be ideal for this project to represent well-known brickfilmers, but I'd like to diversify. Just be aware that I can't make everyone's studio/logo into a transforming mini-city logo. Depending on the deadline, I may only make 5-8 transforming logos for the montage. Outside of Brickcon, sky's the limit.

Can I make my own transforming logo? Sure, it just won't be part of Game of Brickfilmers.

Can I ask you to change something in my logo's transformation? By participating in this, you're giving me creative freedom on the sequence and pacing of your logo's transformation. All ideas and notes should be given to me BEFORE I animate and render. Granted, I will try to put up test renderings for public feedback before making it final.
