Topic: How to Post Your Film

To post a film to this forum, use the Film Directory Submission Form.  (To access the form, click the "Submit Film" button at left.)  You must be logged in to see the submit film link.

This forum is for completed films and trailers only.

If your film already had a thread in the 'releases' forum before the directory opened, please don't generate a new thread.  Instead, select "no" at the end of the entry form and use the tool in the 'manage films' panel to link the new film entry to your old thread.  Thanks.

Re: How to Post Your Film

I uploaded a film in the directory 2 days ago, it still hasn't gotten in the directory mini/jaw , why?

You have to wait for it to be reviewed.

Didn't they test this signature out before they released it?

Re: How to Post Your Film

And approved.

Re: How to Post Your Film

okay, this is like, a week since, and it's still not there.
By the way, I submitted a trailer, and the submission form said it's approved, but it's not in the directory! What gives?!

Re: How to Post Your Film

Trailers are not submitted in the directory, they are submitted to the forums, the directory is for finished films.

Re: How to Post Your Film

Regarding trailers, what ^he said.  Regarding completed films that aren't showing in the directory, the queue of films to be viewed and processed by the review panel is currently at 80.  We generally get to them in the order they were submitted, so the earliest submitted films not already processed for the directory are the next in line to be processed.  For most of us it is currently the end of the school year, hopefully once the summer begins some reviewers will have more time.  We expected a huge load of people submitting their old films to directory and it'll take some time to get over this hill, but once we're caught up and the queue is smaller, the amount of time it takes for a film to be reviewed should be substantially shorter.

Re: How to Post Your Film

The directory has not even been out for a week and there are already 66 films in it, while another directory may have more films it has no quality control, and I don't think any new films have been rated for animation, cinematography, effects, sound, story, and fun. 100% of the films in our directory have been rated by staff so when the additional sorting option are added it will be much easier to find good films. (What is the use of sorting by ratings if the ratings are inconsistent or nonexistent?)

Re: How to Post Your Film

What I want to know is, if someone releases a film and they know for themselves that it will not make it into the directory, how do they post a link in the films section without submitting it to the directory?

What about montage clips? It's neither a trailer or a completed film. And it doesn't exactly fit in the Tests forum either.

Re: How to Post Your Film

I know this is the wrong time to say but I submitted my film 'depression' about 3 or 4 days ago and it hasn't been accepted or rejected. I would like to post the film as a discussion topic here so I can get some reviws and comments that way but it says I don't have permission to post a topic!? This is the only forum I can't post a topic on...Is it because I do not have any films in the directory yet? Do you have to submit a film before you have access? anyway, If you can sort this out it woul be great and I will post my film topic another time...:)

edit: my mistake...*cheeks turn a shade of crimson*...When I submitted the film to the directory it automatically posted it in the forums...I'm just waiting for it to be accepted or rejected now...

Re: How to Post Your Film

When I go to that page, there is no button that says "Add Your Film" It's not on the left, right, up-left, up-right, so on.

On the left in the green control panel, click "Submit Film".

Re: How to Post Your Film

Oh bother.  There probably is a submission guideline document that I ignored somewhere.

I can't find it though, is it somewhere on the site?  Thanks!
