This is another impressive work from one of the best brickfilmers out there. I love the face paced animation and the humorous story. The cut at 0:50 is very jarring, and the opening bit in the police station looks like it could use some color correction, but everything else is just perfect. I love the way the bank patrons all drop the floor at once and the way the thugs speedwalk behind the car at the end. I watched through 4 times and still was picking up on things I missed. things like the lights on the police vehicles must have taken forever, but they look perfect and effortless. And the syncing! I know a lot of that is editing, but still, bravo.
That was awsome! You, filmyguy and Zach Machais are DEFINTELY going to win, though I liked Cyclic a tad better this is probably your best work animation and set wise.
It's ecstatic. The movements are rather quick but they fit the little people. Not sure why there are no voice acting or effects sounds. I like the feel of the music though.
I don't think this is suitable for the contest theme of "Avant-Garde"; what's new? Still it's a top production of camerawork and animation.
I know I already said how awesome this is, but I just wanted to again applaud you for all the care you put into crafting this. It is really masterful (even if haters be hating on you.)
Yeah, I agree with fallentomato. This really was a great film, and deserved to get in the top 3 of the A.G. contest. I personally have never seen the technique you used done in a brickfilm like that. I'm really disappointed in the results and how low this placed. Great film though! It should have won any "regular" contest, but A.G. is a really difficult theme (in my personal opinion, you did great as far as A.G. goes. I wasn't even able to think of an idea at all!)
I did take some photo's of the set during the production. Just click on the thumbnail to see the full size image.
These behind the scenes shots are always my favorite parts of your film, David. Very nice sets and boy oh boy do I love that camera rig.
I do have to say though this is my favourite brickfilm in terms of enjoyment. I love the fun side to it, and the awe-inspiring animation and set design. Personally I still think you deserved to win.
I enjoy seeing behind the scene stuff. Thanks for sharing it.
If this doesn't win, I will eat my own head.
Did it taste good?
Awesome setup, man. I love it.

Are those DUMBELLS?! on your camera rig? Cool!
As for the head eating, I bet you my mom could make a mean pie out of it.
That was an enjoyable entry. I liked the 'slapstick' approach to the film.
It was awesome! I loved the effect of like all the money all bundled together like that.
